We realize that climbing can be an intimidating sport so we have created these steps to help you understand what you will need for your first time in a climbing gym.
In order to climb or belay in our facilities, you will need:
A completed participant agreement (available in our gym or here.)
Please review our safety philosophy and rules before your visit.
VERY IMPORTANT: All climbers under the age of 18 will need a liability waiver filled out by their parent or legal guardian. If the parent or guardian is not present, please bring a copy of the parent or guardian's government issued photo identification (for signature verification).
2. First Visit
All participants are required to watch a short video on their first visit to our gym. If you have not done much climbing, you will be able to use our auto-belays and boulder on our first visit.
If you are an experienced climber, you may elect to take our belay or lead climb/belay test. If you pass, you can have access to our top rope and/or lead climbing as well as bouldering and auto-belays.
If you had a great time and want to have access to more terrain, we offer belay lessons weekdays at 5:30 PM. To ensure that staff is available when you come, please call ahead for a reservation. Class participants will be allowed to belay on the day of their course. On their next visit to the gym, they will be required to take the belay test for belay certification.
New climbers can also take an Introduction to Climbing course. This 2-week course starts with belaying and continues into climbing movement and technique. This class is a great way to get started with climbing and gives you a free one-month trial membership.
Click here for details, cost, and schedule for both the Belay Lesson and the Introduction to Climbing.
Kids are natural born climbers and can climb in our gym at any age. We have developed a number of programs that allow kids to experience the benefits of climbing. Visit our Youth Programs for more information on after-school classes, climbing team, camps, birthday parties and more.
Please be sure that all minors have a waiver fully
completed and signed by their parents or legal guardian.
We hate to turn away kids because they don't have a signed waiver!
