Warrior's Way Falling and Commitment Clinic

How do you react when you are pumped and doubting your ability to commit? Many climbers lose commitment because they over-think. To stay committed you need to stop at stances and think through the risk, make an appropriate risk decision, and then commit completely to taking action on that decision. That is the emphasis of this clinic. In addition, this training addresses falling directly to help improve commitment. We do progressive falling practice, followed by movement, breathing, resting, and body/mind awareness exercises. Finally, students apply everything to a goal route.

You will learn to:
-Fall safely through progressive falling practice
-Give a dynamic (cushioned) belay
-Assess risks effectively and make appropriate risk decisions
-Distinguish between no- and yes-fall zones
-Improve body and mind awareness
-Rest effectively
-Create flow, momentum, and improve breathing
-Commit more deliberately
-Reduce fear, and more
