Intro to Bouldering and Intro to Top Rope are two great ways to get your climbing career started. Intro to Bouldering takes you through the very basics of Bouldering, from etiquette in the gym to some basic movement principles, this class will immediately help you to become more comfortable while climbing at CityROCK. Intro to Top Rope is focused on training new climbers how to belay one another while sport climbing. This comprehensive class lasts two hours to ensure a lasting permanence of belay skills. There is no climbing technique feedback provided in this class.
These classes, Intro to Bouldering and Intro to Top-rope, may be taken together or separately and both have the option to add a membership for one month with the purchase of the class. Each class will be no more than two hours in length and includes a one-month membership with free full gear rentals for the month. We as that you provide us with at least 24 hours notice when scheduling your class.
Intro to Bouldering
Bouldering is typically more powerful climbing on shorter terrain where you hit the ground with every fall. This class covers everything you need to know to get started bouldering at CityROCK, from how to fall appropriately when coming off the wall to proper etiquette when bouldering at our gym. This class is great for those that are just getting started with their climbing and will help to break the ice as a new climber. Climbing is a skill sport, and this class will help you know what skills you need to know to help you get better as a climber.
