Adaptive Climbing Program

CityROCK is proud to offer our Adaptive Climbing Program for people with physical, emotional, social, and/or cognitive developmental challenges who are eager to try something new. Volunteers provide climbers with one-on-one coaching with the aim of developing climbing skills, building self-confidence, and learning valuable life skills.

Adaptive Climbing Team

Our adaptive climbing team is for climbers of all ages and skill levels, celebrating the unique ability of every individual. The group has volunteers available to help climbers with disabilities, and they meet every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM

$15 One-time, single session
CityROCK membership is included with monthly prepaid. 
CityROCK employees will not be available to assist with your climbing experience outside of program hours.

Due to limited space and the need to coordinate participants with volunteers, we ask that you observe the following:

  • Participants must sign up for a single session, or a membership, and register weekly by Thursday, prior to attending a Saturday session.
  • If you miss the registration window and still wish to attend the week of, please email us.
  • No discounts are available for this program.
  • The gym will be open to members only during the adaptive climbing team.

Adaptive Climbing Groups

We have previously hosted Wounded Warriors, The Olympic/Paralympic Training Center, various day programs, and many more! If you have a group of individuals with disabilities who you would like to bring in, please email us

volunteering

Our Adaptive program would not be possible without our amazing community of volunteers! Volunteers receive punch passes in exchange for their time, as well as a free day-of climbing. If this is something that interests you, please email us to inquire.
The following qualifications must be met in order to volunteer:

  • Top-rope belay certified
  • 14 years of age or older
  • Completed standard CityROCK orientation, including auto-belays.
