Youth Program Guidelines

General information

CityROCK offers climbing programs for kids ages 3 and up. Our curriculum introduces kids of all ability levels to the exciting and challenging world of climbing. We use games, circuits, and balance and agility exercises to create an enjoyable and engaging experience. Our programs help children fine-tune motor skills, develop confidence, develop leadership skills, work as a team, improve communication, and learn to solve problems.  For all youth programs, participants have use of shoes and harnesses for the month in which they are currently enrolled.

membership

Memberships included with our programs offer unlimited climbing access during CityROCK’s business hours. Please take advantage of this to practice the skills learned!

weather policy

CityROCK’s goal is to keep classes running when possible.

  • If inclement weather causes disruption to CityROCK Youth Programs, you will receive an email the day of your class by 7:30 AM for morning class closures and an email by 1:00 PM for afternoon closures.

  • CityROCK follows School District 11 school closure announcements.  If District 11 has a delayed start or closure due to weather, CityROCK  morning youth programs could be cancelled for that same day.

  • All closures and adjustment to class times will be posted on out website, Instagram, and Facebook. When in doubt about closures, please check our website, social medias, and/or call CityROCK at 719-634-9099.

We reserve the right to make decisions based on increasingly inclement weather, with the intention to notify morning classes by 7:30 AM and afternoon classes by 1:00 PM.

  • Some people feel more comfortable than others driving in winter weather and conditions can vary greatly within the city. If we decide to hold classes, please use your best judgment on joining us.

  • In case of bad weather feel free to contact to gym to confirm that classes are running regularly.
